Inadvertantly, someone, put a few small clay pots in the dishwasher. Would they be 'aquarium safe' after going thru the wash?

I would think if regular powdered dishwasher detergent was used, and you were really desperate to use the pots, you could soak them in several changes of boiling water and then water with 4x dechlorinator in it. dishwasher detergent doesn't have as many detergents and surfactants as the regular dish soap and isn't so "sticky". It would probably be worth your time, though, to just buy new ones. hth

I'd go along with RTR and Finaddictfred. Oh yeah, and if it was "someone", how did "they" get their hands on "a few" of your aquaria only pots? And why the h3!! would they put them in the dishwasher!?! ;)

And -- that IS what happened. Guess I'm better off looking for new ones.....

if you want, hit them with a 10%(ish) solution of bleach for a couple hours, rinse, hit with vinegar 10%, run in dishwasher without soap, using the heat, then they should be safe.

Do read the soap ingredients for anything phosphate, or look for a "phosphate free" marquee. If you suspect phosphates, give the pots a royal cussing, soak in holy water, stomp them into a powder, lock in a steel box bolted shut, and throw it in the harbor.
