Actually, according to the ICOSA report translation at PC, they will no longer be collected, so the only exports will be fish that were already being held for shipment in Brazil. Looking for tank raised fish will be your best bet, IMO.
A productive, mature male can raise 7 or 8 fry a month, on average, if you're lucky. They need specialized conditions, and buying a group to use for breeding is an expensive endeavor, without a huge expected return for the work they require. My queen arabesque males can raise 30 or so monthly, for half the money invested, and just as much of a return in income. They just aren't a huge money making machine, no matter how much they're selling for.
