:sad Thanks for all the help guys, but he ended up not making it. Any suggestions on some sort of algae (sp) eater that I can put in with the pair of angels that can take a bit of a beating?

I came home today to turn on the comp and check on my angels and found that my pleco had jumped out of the tank. I found him a few feet away, dried out but still moving. He's back in the tank moving around a little but pretty beaten up. Is there anything that can be done to help him or just leave him to decied?

Sorry about your pleco. Keep the tank lights out to help reduce stress on him. That's about all I can think of. Does he show any other signs of being hurt (like a broken / torn fin??)

The lights are out, was actually on the floor trying to look under the other tank with it. He's got some fins tore up more, they were before but that was from moving him from the 10 gallon to the 20. Doesnt look like anything's broken but its kinda hard to say, he's got cat and people hair on him since we havent vacummed down here yet.

Well definately try to clean the hair/fur off him... could be tough to do, maybe get a bucket or large bowl, fill it w/ some tank water and put him in there and try to pick it off...

If you can get some Melafix, that could help with the torn fins as well (and won't hurt the angels at all).

Good luck!

Been trying to get the hair off of him but catching him again and putting him in a bowl big enough would stress him out more. This guy's easily 10inches long. I wouldnt know where to get the stuff to treat him with. I'm also on a limited budget right now with going to college in less than 3 weeks.

Totally understandable!! I guess as long as he's swimming around and stuff, the hair/fur will eventually come off...

As far as the melafix goes, it would help, but not necessary by any means. Just keeping the water quality clean, and maybe keeping the lights off for a few days should make him feel much better!

Good luck!

Yeah seems to be the best. The only thing I'm worried about now is his eyes and eyesight, everything else has came back up but his eyes are still sunken in.

Give them time before you start worrying...

Seems like it, kinda hard to say how long he was out of the tank sitting there. Good thing kitty was put up or she would've gotten fish sticks for breakfast this morning.
