I'm looking to get a 72 gallon bowfront aquarium, in the not so distant future. I would like to have at least a pair of angels and with that I would be happy, so I'm asking you guys for your opinions on a community developed around a pair of angels, and like I said earlier if you have pics post em, I'd like to see other communities and go from there.

get exciting

Im a bit of an angel fan myself, but there are many less known fish out there that are just as cool as angelfish. Also, many cichlids, if your interested in them, will pick on the slow moving angels.

Although not a community tank, here's a couple of my 125 gallon Discus tank... :)

Funny that you mention 72 with angels because that is exactly what I'm planning for mine. I bought a 72 and am planning on setting it up in about a month. It will be heavily planted with some mopani driftwood pieces.

For fish I was thinking about trying 4 angelfish, although I don't have much experience with them. I'm also going to be adding what I have in a 35 gallon now. Here's my planned stocking list:

4 angelfish
Schools of 6 rosy barbs and 6 rainbowfish
1 pair of kribensis (nice cichlid, have already)
1 pair of red wag platies (have already)
1 Featherfin Syno (have)
1 Albino Rainbow Shark (have)

Cap'n Hook, do you know if your incumbants will get along with the angels?

125gallonjoe, gave me another idea though, with a 72 gallon, how many angels could i put in for an angel only type aquarium?

I have a planted 55 with angels & Cardinals. I think it's a fantastic combo. You could have quite a school of cardinals in a 72. Good call sticking with a pair of angels, they can get quite agressive with each other as they get bigger.
