I have 2 Yo-Yo loaches (I love these guys), and I DID have 2 Khuli loaches. I noticed one of the Khulis was getting a bit pale in it's coloring, then a couple of days ago, it croaked. The other loach still looks healthy. No abnormal marks, growths or swimming problems, and it's colors are as vibrant as they have ever been. I suspect that the khuli died of starvation...I may be wrong.

The Yo-Yos are active all day long, searching for food and playing. They do a bang-up job of cleaning the substrate. Thing is, the Khulis are pretty lazy during the day, and I'm afraid the Yo-Yo's are sucking up all the food before they khuli can find any.

I have tried dropping some sinking food (tablet mixture of various worm meal), but the khuli just ignores the stuff.

All my fish love frozen bloodworm, but if I put some in just before lights out, I'm concerned that the yo-yos will still eat them all.

Can anyone help me with some suggestions?

All my water perameters are testing well

Nitrates are at the bottom of the scale, so no accurate number.

Hello :)
Kuhlis like to be kept in groups, and they're much braver this way. They also come out at night to hunt, so if you drop in some food after lights out your loach will have more luck.
As long as your little guy is alone, he's likely to be shy. If you get a few more kuhlis, you might be surprised at how much fun they are - mine swim all over (especially during barometric pressure changes), lay on the plants, swim through the gravel and leave just their little heads poking out, and feed in a little frenzied ball if I drop a pellet in. Yesterday one adventurous little bugger found his way into the sectioned off part of the tank where the equipment is, and almost got sucked into the filter... they're a handful :D
