Equipment/livestock outside US

One great thing about the web is that it brings people together from all over. Europe, Asia, Australia, heck even Malta. One issue, though, is the availability of different kinds of equipment and livestock.

For example, the AquaC Remora skimmer is unavailable in Europe, but I have seen several posts of people getting models of Tunze skimmmers that I haven't seen here.

It seems like it might be worth having a discussion of the differences in reefing in different places. Seems silly to be constantly recommending a filter, book, or variety of live rock to someone who will never be able to get their hands on it.

Not sure. I guess I'm just trying (so far unsuccessfully) to get an idea of what is available where. I have been surprised to see posts saying that something is unavailable. I figured everything would be available anywhere, given that everything seems to be owned by a multinational conglomerate.
