Thanks for all the help with the cycleing. We took out the fish and cycled with a shrimp and our live rock. All of our ammonia and nitrites are 0, nitrate between 5 and 10, and pH is 8.2, specific gravity at 1.022 in our 30 gallon tank. We got some diatome blooms and have done a 25% water change 2 weeks ago and another 10% about a week ago. We added about 5 scarlet hermits, one turbo snail, and now 5 cerinth snails about 5 days ago. Is this enough of a "clean up crew". Any suggestions? We want to add a pair of occelaris clownfish in about a week or two. Any other suggestions about fish choices? We eventually want to upgrade our lighting to have corals, so they need to be reef safe.
