clear water and nitrite

Hey, I woke up this morning to crystal clear water after 14 days of cloudy water on the front end of my cycle. It's been two weeks today that this mess got cranked up. A water test on wednesday of this week revealed rising ammonia and the first sign of nitrite.
How much longer?.......lol
 
Rising ammonia? Is this a fishy cycle?

Anyway, looks like you're still in the first stage of cycling. Once your ammonia drops, you'll be into the second step, and looking for Nitrate.

As for how much longer, that's a craps shoot, but since you're two weeks in and aren't yet at the ammonia peak, I'd guess that you've at least a month to go. The second stage is longer than the first.
