well I have a 55g with the following 4lined-pictus,spotted pictus,Blue Acara,3spot groumie, cory cat, pleco, and i wanted to add like 3 more fish hear is my idea firemouth cory and a blue groumie will that be ok or will it overcroud my tank thanx

and welcome bak everyone

no the blue groumie is different i know the 3 spot grourmie and the blue groumie will go together cause my brother in law had them together and they worked fine

I would be worried about that cory. Depending on its size those pictus may try to eat it (as they are good at doing). If that happens the cories barbed fins will get stuck in the throat of the pictus and they will both die. It happens more often than you think with some cichlids as well, oscars are very good at dieing that way.

kevinfishboy -> THe 3 spot gourami is the same thing as the blue gourami, you are wrong, they can have different color patters on them and do not always have 3 spots depending on their conditions and happiness, just like in the entry in the species profiles here on AC.

It might just be my bad luck but my 3-spot has never excepted any other gouramis he just chases them till they give up and die!
My fish recomendation is and all ways will be severums, much a similar size and temperament as your acara and should get on well. (so long as you dont have a nicely planted tank as he will soon dig that up!) Great personality, socaibly fish and a lot less agressive than most ciclids.
