For my planted tank I would like to add some cardinal tetra. This tank is heavily planted with CO2 injection and the pH is 7.0. I currently have 12 rummynose, 5 peppered cory, 6 otocinclus and 2 SAE and 1 betta. How many cardinal tetra can I safely add without pushing the bioload? Thanks!

You've got plenty of room in there to add a nice school of Cardinals.
10 or 12 would not be over doing it, IMO.
They school up better in larger groups as well, but don't expect a tight school, ala your Rummys.

I'd just like to add the Cardinal Tetra is my favorite Tetra!

They seem so hard to find at LFS here. Wonder why they seem rare down here?

Thanks guys! I have been watching some at theLFS for about a week now. If they still look healthy tomorrow I will pick up 12. Should be fun!

We have just about the same tank. Take a look at my 55 specs. You won't have any problem adding the cardinals.
