Anyone ever use it? Estes claims it is SW safe but I have never seen any tanks with it.
I have 50lbs of new black gravel and was wondering if it could be used in a FO tank.

Never used. Still in the bags.
I have had it for quite a long time. It seems that at each holiday people seem to want to give me a bag of gravel when I have SW tanks.

It won't hurt anything, but there are a few disadvantages:
1. It won't buffer. Calcareous substrates provide a bit of buffering, colored gravel won't.
2. The grain size is probably large enough to trap debris.
