Post a pic of the filtrarion systems working on your pond
I would like to open this thread to show pictures and explanations on our filters, the material we use on them, the brands, shapes and sizes of our pond filtration systems. All of this to learn new ideas and improve our filters.
I will start with a pic of my system. I have a circular 350gallon community pond, with sub-heaters that keep the temp in the range between 25c-27c (77-80F) aprox. 1800+watts in heater power(here in Mex, electricity is not that expensive.) Outside temps vary from 10.c to 23.c (57-24F).
I recently acquired a Wet Dry Filter, powered by a 1hp submersible pumb that drives the water through a PVC into the 3 Chamber Wet Dry, the pvc output is on the top of the first and smallest chamber, where the water fills to the top to move into the next chamber downwarldy passing through filter material (floor scrubbs, sponges, filter sponges) on the bottom of this chamber it flows horizontaly into the the third and last chamber passing through lava rock, upwardly until in reaches the Input of a pvc that is powered by an outside pump that drives the water to the top creating a waterfall. I also use a 40watt UV Sterilizer .Here are the pics.
