Coralife Colormax?

Has anybody ever used the Coralife Colormax bulbs. I'm looking a the 20w mini compact fluorescent - the kind that screws into an incandescent fixture. I'm thinking about adding 2 of these bulbs to supplement a 96w CF 6700k.
Do the Colormax do anything to help plants grow. They dont give any specs for it other than its 20 watts.
 
Ok - Thanks. I think I'll forget about the Colormax. I think I'm going to get the 10w 6500k bulbs. I can fit three of those in the hood I'm building plus the 96w. That will give me 126 watts for a 40 Gallon Breeder. That should be enough.
My new tank came in today and I just went and picked it up (Yahoo!!!)
Now I can really get into building my stand and hood. I already bought the lumber. heehee. I am totally psyched.

Good choice for bulbs though, I picked the colormax 'cause it was cheap and seemed about right, oops.

I'm getting primed to build a proper hood for my 33g, right now it's just lights on top of acrylic. Alas, appartment dwelling sucks for building space and a lack of power tools makes it a bit of a contortionist act to build the darn thing.

Got a shop at work that should do, just gotta find the time!
 
Yeah, thats a bummer living in an apartment to build stuff. First time I had a real house, I went nuts - bought every power tool I could find. I've still got most of them, so I'm pretty much set in that department.
I just finished the frame for the stand this morning. Now I have to go out and buy more wood for finishing. It's going to be finished in Oak.
Off to Lowes, :)
