OK, so, i have a few odd fish that i want to keep together. In your personal opinon, would you think this might work:
2 leporinus fasciatus
1 gold severum
1 sengal bichir
african butterfly
common pleco
bristlenose pleco

i have a couple danios and rasboras, i might leave them in there as target fish
the severum is pretty mild tempered; just chases a fish every once in a while.
the bichir only goes after my ghost shrimp
I have noticed that the fasciati (??) fasciatuses have ripped up my fema;e bettas fins, therefore, she is no longer a resident with them.

Since i am now left with a couple danios and rasboras (and a platy, soon to be moved), everything seems to be smooth between them all.

any opinons welcome. :D

right now, they are in an 18g; they are all still very itty bitty. the sev's about 3" long, the bichir is about 4" long, and the 2 fasciatus are about 2.5" long.

I will be able to upgrade tank size as needed. I didnt get pleco sizes; the common is about 6" right now, and the bristlenose is still hovering around 2.3 or 3". (i can never see him, he's always hiding in a pot.)

first off i would get the common pleco out of there as soon as possible, even at small sizes they are major poop factories, and dont do very well aat eating algae anyway. I would get a bigger tank as soon as you can, because the severum will grow quick, also if you leave the danios and raspboras in, I wouldnt be suprised if the birchir makes a snack of them sooner or later.

But ya your tank is basically a on the verge of being overstocked so keep up with the water changes, because it will only go downhill from here as everything grows.

I agree with the last post,,your tank is way over crowded right now. The severum gets up to 9",,,I have two in my new 90 gal that are full grown. The pleco gets up to 12",,you need to get a much bigger tank if you want to keep them all.

heh, i dont really have that poop problem. i guess its the one algea eating shrimp i have in there, maybe not, but, something takes care of it right quick. maybe the ADF. :C

i know i can give my big pleco to some local store when he gets too big. they have some big tanks. (pet city at the mall was selling a big pleco for 30$ !!)
