I need help. My 30 gal. is having trouble with fish dieing. It's not a new tank, it has been up for 2+ years. Recently my fish have been dieing slowly.I had three grourami's(1 golden,1blue,1fire),1 albino corydora, and 3 glow lite tetras. The aquarium water is crystal clear, nothing funky about the tank. The filters are running, the temp is fine, I even have a bouble wand across the back. The only thing I see that is odd is that the air hose has a white film on it, and none of my other tanks have that. I have not yet tested the water. Any ideas are appreciated.

I would test water parameters and post the results. This is probably the best thing you can do for the most accurate advice. Have you changed anything at all lately i.e. filter(s), media, new fish etc? How often do you perform water changes and how much each time? After testing water parameters I would perfrom a large water change of at least 50%. Keep us posted!

I'd be interested in knowing your pH. It can crash in an old tank sometimes.

Also, your nitrates are something that would help.

If you get this straightened out, for future reference, those cories are schooling fish and should be kept to a minimum of 3. And 3 or so more glowlights wouldn't hurt since they are also a schooling fish.
