I went to the calculator last night in hopes of getting a proper idea of how much KNO3 I should buy at a time. While calculating the kno3 The calculator reccomended nitrate levels at 5ppm and k levels at 15ppm. This seemed quite backwards to me and therefore I had to wonder if I was doing something wrong, or if the calculator was off. I know this question has been asked 1000 times. what should my targt levels of N and K be? I'll take the targets and figure from that point with the info I have, just wanted verification.

Those are valid target levels. N=5 - 10ppm, K=15ppm.
If you have a light fish load, you can probably get away without even using K+.
Just KNO3.

Thanks Len, for some reason I was backwards. Thinking the N needed to be higher than the K. I'll have to figure it out, I'm not sure that I need the KNO3 yet, but things are changing as the plants get going and I'm trying to prepare.
