Hope you don't mind Lila. After I read your story I couldn't resist...
Chapter 1
Characters:
Daveedka
TKOS
Watcher
Daveedka grumbled as he stumbled through chest high mounds of hay.
“Where the hell is that little twit?”
He pulled one knee up to his chest and irritably pulled hay out from under his pants leg. He was dressed in a worn leather tunic with arm braces. At his belt was a long, heavy sword.
“Have you found him yet?” yelled out TKOS. He stood at the door of the hay littered barn with a half-amused expression on his face.
As Daveedka started walking again he responded.
“No, not yet. But when I do I’m gonna…GAH!!!” And with that Daveedka tumbled headfirst into a large mound. “Blaugh!” Spitting out hay he rolled over to see what he had tripped over.
Watcher lay almost completely camouflaged in the hay, curled around an empty clay liquor jug. His dark hair was unkempt and his rough, wool clothing was torn and stained from years of use.
“ZzZzZz… wasn’t me…ZzZz….Hans did it….ZzZzZz…never even seen the girl before…ZzZz…this is my underwear….Zz…makes me feel sexy…”
“PIG BOY!!!!!” Daveedka bellowed.
“AAAHH!!” Watcher bolted straight up with a scream. He panted loudly to himself and stared at the wall in a confused manner.
“Well, your highness? You going to sit there in the hay with that stupid expression on your face all day?”
For the first time Watcher realized Dave was there.
“Jeeze, Dave. Are you trying to kill me?”
“Don’t give me any ideas. RTR wants us to meet up at his house. Apparently something terribly amiss is going on.”
“Yeah. Yeah. Sure thing. Just let me go take a quick dip in the pool and check in at the pig sty and I’ll be right *gack*…”
Daveedka had roughly obtained a handful of Watcher’s collar and began dragging him through the hay toward TKOS and the door.
“No time, Pig Boy. RTR said now.”
TKOS adjusted his spectacles and shook his head as his two companions walked toward him. Well, more like walked and dragged. He was dressed in a roughly woven, wool outfit with a large staff in his hand.
“Dave, take it easy on the boy. No one expects a young, pig keeper to be as disciplined as those of us with years more experience. He’s never even seen a battle for Goodness sake.”
“All the more reason to toughen him up. If he can’t handle this, how do you expect him to react when the real action happens?”
TKOS just smiled and held his tongue. Watcher clawed at his throat and threw out a retort from a face turned blue.
“Gack!”
