At first I thought these nonsemetrical black smudges ranging from specks to inch long ink splatters on the sides and fin of my peacocks were some type of birth mark. Few of them have grown up with these marking all their life but I am starting to see them appear on other fish. Or start to notice. I have seen similar marks like these on fish at petsmart so, I don't think they are uncommon. If people just tell me that they are just birth marks then, OK. But, I would love to rid my beautiful fish of these ugly distracting markings. help please thanks
