feeding cucumber (sp)

I would like to give my fish some cucumber, how do you feed this? Does it have to be cooked frist or just cut and dropped in?

It can be blanched with boiling water to soften it, or just set it on the counter for an hour or so after slicing. I freeze mine, and by the time it thaws it is always soft enough. then attach to something to hold it down and put it in the tank.

I just tie It to a cartot with an elastic band so it sinks for my pleco. He gets to snacks in one :D
