Ive seen this now a few times, and i cant explain why except maybe a reaction to the first time opening in my tank, like my foxcoral..

i have a cup or turban coral (unsure of proper term appears a cup shape with little sorta bumps and what appears to be flowers of sorts popping out of that) it has strands of mucous floating out of it all the time..........

cant find this in any book and i have a few.....

would appreciate some feedback......

Some of my corals produce mucus when they are irritated. Like after handling or a water change.

One of mine often has streams of mucus coming from it, but they come from a vermetid snail that has been living with it for years.
