I was wondering what other type of filter should I get for my 55 gallon tank? Right now I have an AquaClear 200 and an UGF. I was thinking along the lines of a Fluval Canister Filter. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

i love my fluval 404, but for a 55 gal i think a 304 would be sufficient. however, a lot of ppl dont like fluvals for whatever reason. but personally i love them and wouldnt get anything else.

aother filter is always a good idea IMO I would go with another AC personally
another question comes to my mind also.
How is your UGF set-up, conventional can and will work, but after running both, I am a far bigger fan of the RFUG set-up with a prefilter sponge. I use pengun powerheads with peguin prefilter sponge kits (nice inexpensive package set-up) you will add two additional filter sponges (mechanicle), increase the effeciency of your undergravel, and reduce vaccuming by a bunch. all at a small cost. Just a thought I wanted to share.

ChicoRaton, :thud: That's all I have to say about that!

Anyways, I dont think I want to get a powerhead for the UGF... too costly, I think ill get a big AC maybe a 300 or a 500 not too sure yet. Thanks for all the help!

If you buy 3 or more, you will save thousands, according to their prices! :D
