What fish would you put, or maybe 2.... something nice, expensive, and aggressive?

I'd put in a betta. nice, but not expensive or aggressive, except to his own kind.

Like ChicoRaton, I'd also get a Betta. Extremely beautiful, not very aggressive by himself, but not a lot of fish are if they are alone. If they are overly aggressive, chances are, you couldn't put it in a 10 gallon anyways. If you want an expensive fish, there are lots of specially bred Bettas, like Halfmoons, Butterfly, etc, that cost quite a bit. Look for a local breeder for a nice strain. Or you can check out some reputable online Betta breeders if you want to go that route.

I have to agree on the betta. They are full of personality and very happy in a nice 10 gallon setup. My favorite fish ever was a betta living alone in a 10 gallon, I got a lot of enjoyment from him and he lived a long healthy life in there (about 4 years).

I plan on setting up another 10 gallon with live plants for a betta and a few panda cories ... two of my favorite fishies :)

You can find some really wonderful, good quality bettas for sale at www.aquabid.com

Blue mole shrimp or Blue crayfish (O.K. I just wanted to say something other than beatta) I'd probably go with a beatta as well.

Black paradise. Very, very aggressive, and will display even solo. Gorgeous, subtle colors, gets 5-6 inches with lovely trailing fins. Favorite fish, just don't have anywhere one will fit right now.

I like gouramis. A pearl Gourami would be beautifull in a nicely setup 10 gallon by itself. Not that aggrasive though but very pretty.
