High pH

I just tested my pH. It read 8.8. I have never had it read anything but 8.0-8.2. Everything else was fine. I'm search the forum and the net. Everything I've found is about fresh water. Everybody in the tank seems happy, but I know that can change quickly. What should I do? :confused:
 
If you have not already, Test again. Sometimes you can drip too much chem into those vials. When ever I get a very abnormal spike I retest before I panic. Its quite easy to mess those tests up just ask my girlfriend.

I retested this morning. My tank is back to normal. My refugium, which is not yet connected to my tank, is still high. My thoughts are the pH is still high in the refugium because I'm keeping the light on 24/7. Does this sound right???? :confused:

I'm waiting for a mini-pump to get my refugium connected. When connected that will hopefully take care of my problem.
 
A lot of photosynthesis will drive up the pH, but I don't know if it will go that high. Can you cut the photoperiod down a little? Most plants need some dark time anyway.
