firemouths not moving?

my little brother wants some firemouths, and the ones I've seen at teh petstore just kind of hover, I've never seen them swim, but they've bene alive for weeks, are they healthy, or unhappy and just need a new home, or is this a bad sign?

They are afraid and need dithers.

they are beautiful fish, very colorful and are about 2.5 inches in length

i say they are ok to buy. i have 4 firemouths myself. i feel they do better in a group. maybe at the store they are in too small of a tank..

I"m not sure, I think they were zebras though...blue w/ black stripes
