Alright...here's the problem.

My Red Coris will eat any hermits I put in the tank (Blue Legged, etc.). So, are there any bottom/rock dwelling, med. to large hermits, that I can put in my tank, that will clean my sand bed for me?

My Red Coris is 8" long but hasnt found a way to eat the last 2 blue legged in the tank, that got smart and found large shells to live in.

You can try putting large emtpy shells where your hermits can transfer.

Already have...they're afraid to transfer...even when the Coris is buried, in the sand, asleep.

You could also use sand sifting stars. They are around $15 and they do a decent job of stirring the top layer of sand and cleaning it out.
