I am in the process up setting up an new tank, this time I'm going for some African Cichlids (rift lake). However I only have a twenty gallon tank to work with. I wanted to try and get five fishes in the tank, so is there a Mbuna that is about 3.5-4 inches or smaller, with it's attitude scaled down as well, that could work for the tank?

20G is too small for mbunas.
If you have soft water, you can go with German bklue rams. With hard water , you can go with smaller Tanganican's.
Good luck,

woops, did I get the word 'mbuna' confused?
I understood it to mean cichlids that dwell in the rocks, is that what it means?
Or does the name apply soley to Cichlids that live in lake Malawi
