its gotta be slightly large fish that you can see from across the room, fairly hardy, and nothing thats gonna just kill each other, any suggestions?

yea but i wouldnt want to do discus or angels with a plastically planted tank.. i am thinking perhaps just stick with the lil africans and watch em grow

What about Silver Dollars. They would just eat plants anyway and look cool when they get bigger.

A malawii rift lake community would also be a good option, the fish are generally larger and very colorful eye catchers, plus overstocking isn't as bad a thing as with other types of fish due to the fact that it usually spreads out aggression and bullying.

i liked silver dollars a lot, but they are so darn skiddish i feel sorry for them in a tank. i think the mbuna tank sounds like the way to go

heck yeah- stick with tha cichlids!!!!!
they are entertaining lil guys as well ;)

They have parrot cichlids here in our 55. They get fairly big, so you can definitely see them from across the room. They have an aquarium service that comes in once a week.
