Picked up this fish the other day and it sold as a Vieja bifasciata. Everthing is consistent with the photo's I've seen of this fish, the shape, the black and red markings with one exception, its yellow instead of white. Has anyone else seen one colored like this? It doesn't look cross bred so I have no answer. Maybe someone can explain what's up with the yellow.

I doubt that's bifasciatus. The color doesn't look right. I believe bifas has more red around the head and dorsal fin area. Don't know what kind of fish you have. I've searched for other fish pictures, but nothing match yours. Did you try to post a picture of that fish in MoJo's forum. Maybe someone can help identify your fish.
