Can someone tell me if these products are any good?

I am thinking about purchasing the following products to use on a 135 gallon FOWLR aquarium...they are used. Can someone please tell me what they think of them.

1. Red sea protein skimmer-Berlin hang on the back model

2. Amiracle MR-200 wet dry filter

3. Danner Supreme Mag-Drive 7 water pump 700 gph

4. Iwaki MD-20RLXT pump 600 gph

Thanks,
Thresa

I wouldn't bother with the wet-dry, especially if you want a reef. The pumps would be decent if you're setting up a sump, but I wouldn't use them in the main tank. I think the skimmer is a bit small for your tank--but I could be wrong there.

Also, moving this to Marine Products. OG

Do you want one pump or two? If you will be using the pump externally, I'd push for the Iwaki. I have used mag drives for years, and like them a lot, but they have a tendency to leak a bit. Great for submerged use, but a bit nervewracking for external use. Iwakis are quiet and efficient. You might think about Pan-World Blueline pumps. Same designer as Iwaki (he left to start his own company), and very high quality, but a lot less expensive.

I will be using two pumps. It's an entire used set up and I beleive that he was using one of the smaller pump for the skimmer. He had converted the wet/dry into a sump. I went and checked out the aquarium last night and he told me that it was an oceanic aquarium, but I don't know how to tell for sure. The only thing that turned me off was there was a thick and messy silicone linning all around the aquarium. I wouldn't expect oceanic to manufacture their aquariums that way, and I don't know why someone would resilicone their aquarium. I have not purchased the aquarium and equiptment yet. Should I be worried?

Thanks for your help,
Thresa

Would you pass on the used aquarium, since it may have had a leak? It seems like a pretty good deal, but if I'm going to have problems with it down the road then I would rather spend the extra money and buy a new one.

Thanks for your help,
