Hi, I'm looking for opinions.

I'm interested in what all you folks think about the best fish combination for a 40 gal hex, salt, FO, 80W CF, WetDry, UV, Skimmer in sump.

The reason I'm asking is that the roundish shape of the tank is quite limiting. I'm sure Percs would love it, but if I do clowns, I'd like to have an anemone for them and there's not enough light.

So, any thoughts, combinations, ideas?

Thanks!

Jim

you dont need an anemone for clowns. they do fine without it. are you planning on haveing live rock in your tank?

Thanks for the comments.

No, I don't think I'll do live rock. But then again, I don't have any experience with it. What would the advantages of using it be? I've always just started tanks from scratch with a damsel and gone from there.

As for the Percs, you're probably right, but I've always prefered keeping Percs with anemones. I've done it both ways, and they always just seemed happier with an anemone. Just my opinion.

I was really looking for ideas on other species. Perhaps a Flame angel, or a bicolor along with a few other small types that would handle the shape of the tank well.

I guess you could say I'm "fishing" for ideas! (oooh, bad pun!)
