Which Fertilizer And How Often?

I plan on putting an Amazon sword plant in my tank in the next couple of weeks. I just got my light bulbs in the mail yesterday. I have an all gravel substrate and I do not plan on using CO2. My question is what kind of fertilizer should I use and how often should I fertilize? Will this even work?
 
I use Hagen's fertilizer for my Amazon Sword which is in a 10 gallon tank with gravel and 2.8 watts per gallon of light from screw in spiral bulbs. I add about 1 tsp of fert with a water change. I do not add CO2. My sword is healthy, sprouts many new leaves and has just produced babies. Of course it is almost 2 years old and is realitivly small. If you want a huge sword plant then you will of course have to follow a different regieme.
