I need help?
My sltwater fish only tank has red algea,it seems like onion skin it peels off if I try to gravel vac it but it comes back in a day or less.I would like to get rid of it.I even bought turbo snails and cleaner shrimp(shrimp got eaten).I did 2 water changes of15% in the last 2 weeks and it keeps coming back.I tried hooking up my diatom xl filter to help, nope still there but the water is atleast crystal clear.

How long has your tank been set up? If it's new it's probably cyano bacteria . It will go away as the nutrients from your cycle are removed from your water.
What are your tank conditions and your water parameters? Cyano grows best in stagnant,"low flow". water with excess nutrients nitrate, phosphate etc. Not very much out there will eat it either so, the only way to get rid of it is to fix what ever the issue is with the water or other parts of the environment.

I tested my water I have zero amonia, nitrite, and nitrates. My ph is 8.3,I only use ro water. I was told by a friend that it has to do with a couple of fish that died and I could not fiend. Now I notice my coral beuty has fadded in color and my fish a scratching, but there are no signs of ich on any of them.I have a protien skimmer, and a wet dry filter with bio balls and a floss pefilter.I have a small power head and quick filter in tank also to help circulate water and filter. How much circulation of water do I need? The wet dry filter was built with a hagen power head #802 to circulate water.
Please help!
