What do you think this angelfish is, a male or a female? I am just curious. Don't post your opinion, just answer the poll. that way everybody else gives their unbiased opinion.

Sorry Chico I can't vote either way without observing the way the angel acts. Even then its just a guess.

Yeah. The poll results remain a little inconclusive as well, at an even 50/50 split... maybe I should change the fish's name to Pat?

Aren't angelfish really hard or nearly impossible to sex without seeing their behaviours, especially during mating?

That's what I thought, but I've also heard of some people that claim to be able to tell the sex of an angelfish by looking at certain variations in body shape.

I was shown by an old Angel Breeder how to sex angels going by the body shape and I have been right about 80% of the time. This pic makes it tough because of the angle of the fish.

I've have heard that people can do this, but I've never met anyone who can sex angels by body shape.

The body shape seems pretty much the same to me.
