Nothing boring about convicts. As soon as my brothers tank has cycled I'm transfering my africans to him and getting me some convicts and firemouths. Two fish I started out with a long time ago. Not that I dislike africans, but they seem to hide to much for me. The only time mine come out is to eat , then its right back into their caves.

How big are your Jags F176. As they grow they take on color.

Yes I know, mine were extremely dull at first but now they are kind of good looking, but not at all as good looking as yours...
The male is about 5-6 inches and the female about 4 inches. They bred for the first time just a couple of days ago. :D
The worst thing is that I have convicts with fry in the same tank so it's like the world war three or something in the tank right now :p

My male is about 8" and my female around 5". Give them some more growing time and I think you'll see a difference. I not sure if this has any effect but my tank is acrlic. I used to have them in my 60 oceanic glass and I don't see much difference in color between the two, maybe a little.
