Hello,

This creature came in with my order of Kaelini Live Rock. I was hoping that you could help me identify it. It is gray with white streaks. Kind of like a mucous or jello like texture. The innards of it seem to be moving back and forth. I am not sure if this is some sort of egg sack or a creature. Here is a picture of it.

Thanks,

Ryan

The picture is too large to attach but I can email it to you if interested.

Sounds kinda like a Sea Cucumber or Sea Apple...Google those and see if they look about right.

Well, here it is. Smaller, and I played with the contrast and color balance a little. Looks like a rotting colonial tunicate, but I wouldn't quote me on that.

I like your pic file name-it does look like a snotoid!!!
Maybe a jellyfish of sorts??

I think I will get the smaller piece below and disect it, It actually looks like a jellyfish but it is attached to the rock.
