Anyone ever have problems with bubbles from a Remora C skimmer? I've had it for about 6 months with a maxi-jet 1200. I didn't realize how bad they were because my filter put a large amount of tiny bubbles into the tank. Now I have changed my filter and the tank looks great until I turn on the skimmer. The larger bubbles stay near the return area but the tiny ones are getting pushed all over the tank. I hate it! I've tried disassembling and reassembly as well as cleaning, nothing helps.

Is this normal??

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
BobbyC

im not quite sure, but i believe there is a per skimmer/bubble trap that is suppossed to cure that, but i found this quote and now im not quite sure.

"The bubble trap don't work for POO unless you cram it full of floss, but the surface skimming works pretty well... "
-Corax

hope this helped a little...

there is a prefilter box that skims the surface water and has a bubble filter on the return . works very well but it is freaking huge.

another way is to take some filter pad and wrap it around the return so the water has to go though it to get back into the tank . will remove most of the bubbles.
