My tank is so air tight (2 glass lids on half of the tank each) that when I open the lid a lot of condensation rolls off. My concern is that it's too air tight and will cause a problem.

Is it possible to have your aquarium too tightly covered? Filtration is a Fluval 404 and am planning on adding co2 injection. It's pretty thickly planted now and will hopefully grow in even more.

Since you have plenty of plants to provide oxygen, I can't see any problem with it. It's probably even making things easier on your heater by trapping the warmed air. How long have you had it like that?

I too, do not see any problems. Just make sure that if the fish start to gasp that you fix this *POSSIBLE* problem. I think many have minor condensation, so that isn't a big issue.

(Although it can create algae on the hood, I know this!)
