Hi everyone! To cut a long story short I purchased a new cichlid at the weekend and what to find out some more info about it. However, as I am living in Japan it is difficult to get an accurate translation of the fish's name into English. It is something like: Cichlasoma Roizuri/Roijuri/Roisuri. Can anyone tell me what fish this is ???

Errrrrrrrr......

Can't find a pic because I don't know the correct spelling of the fish's name in English :( . Can someone look it up in a detailed cichlid book for me?

Thanks for all the replies ><:. Description......Well, it's perch like(hence the cichlasoma genus) and kind of green in colour with one or two large black spots. As the Japanese don't distinguish between "r" and "l" the second part of the latin name could begin with "L" i.e cichlasoma losuri/lojuri or something like that ^-^............

Never heard such name before. There are many cichlasoma has greenish color. Maybe you can describe fish shape (snout and bodice).

If you go to the species profile and list by sci. name there isn't an l or an r. Its either hard to translate or a new undiscovered species
