When I first got my mollies the Dalmatian one would always chase the black one around. I called the pet shop and they said it was okay as long as I didn't see any damage on them. Today I noticed the black one has been chasing around the Dalmatian one. The Dalmatian one has been hiding and trying to be alone. They have always seemed fine in there together until today. Anyone have any ideas?

The Dalmatian is also rubbung up against stuff. I have been treating a neon tetra in the tank for ick for about a week now with QuickCure.

Now it is just hiding in a decoration in the tank and not moving.

I have platys and mollies too, and my goldust mollies occasionally chase each other around, but no damage is done-they usually get along fine. What gender are the mollies? It could be males fighting over a female-or in my case, my females chased each other! The lfs guy recommended adding a male to occupy the time lol but i never tried it. I wouldnt be adding any fish i there is ich in the tank-if some fish are showing signs and now ur molly is rubbing and "flashing" then it probably has ich too-which would account for its less active behaviour. theres a whole thread about ich in the general freshwater forum, have you heard of using high temps/and salt? I was just wondering because i used a commercial brand (nox-ich) i think, and it killed my neon tetras!(make sure u only use half the recommende dosage!!!!) theyre scaless and fragile when it comes to ich medications. Also on the commercial ich med it said to treat for 3 days, but u should actually treat for much longer because of the ich parasite's life cycle......just read the thread for details
I hope ur tank pulls thru!

Thanks! The ick treatment seems to be working. It has almsot been a week since I started it. I am going to do it for 14 days. I have seen any damage or signs of ick on any of the fish. One had spots but they are gone now. I am not sure what sex they are. I have 2 mollies though.
Well, she/he seems to be doing a little better now. It eats and isn't really hiding anymore. Maybe it just felt like being alone. :D
