I have four Corydoras in a 20g tank with 2 penguin 125s and am thinking of putting some (between 2 and 4) juvenile angelfish in with them. I would like to know if anyone out there has experience with mixing these two kinds of fish. I would also appreciate opinions on the number of angels to put in the tank.
Thanks,

i wouldn't put more than 2 angelfish in a 20 gallon, and if you only put 2 they will fight when they begin to reach adulthood in 6 months (i had 2 in a 20 tall last year). so i would only get 1 if i was you. in my experience angelfish will get along with any fish that they are raised with. one more thing to remember is if you have a 20 long, the angelfish is going to outgrow it in a year or two. my friend had an angelfish in a 20 long and didn't even realize it had outgrown the tank until i saw it for the first time and was like uhhhh... your angelfish has no bottom fin  it had worn off over a long time of scraping against the gravel because the fish was as tall as the tank. this is why i got a 20 tall for mine. just something to be aware of.

I have mixed Angels and Cories before without problems. However Biogirl is right, if you want angels JUST GET ONE. Though generally peaceful Angelfish are still cichlids, and show all the chararistics of that family.

I wouldn't keep one in a 20 gallon tank and I'm pretty lenient when it comes to jamming fish into tanks, compared to most on this board. :) Definitely not more than one!

I agree with the posts above, 1 being that the Angels and cories do get along as the cories are bottom dwellers while the Angels are mainly mid to high level dwellers. BUT a 20 gallon is no place for more than 1 Angel at the very most. More than that would most definitely lead to problems of aggression over breeding or territory, whichever the case and/or over-stocking. Juvies might seem like they need hardly any room at all but these little guys grow quickly, could be as quick as 6 months. Generally, 20 gallons is the extremem minimum a single Angel needs and then an extra 10 gallons for each additional one.

Angels and cories get along very well, but I agree with what a few others have stated, although one angel could fit in your tank, I myself would not even keep one in such a small tank.
