I have a 10 gallon tank and there are 2 25 watt bulbs in the hood, but they are incandesent and I was wondering if plants could grow under incandesent light, or do I need flouresent? And if i need flourescent how can I make the conversion? Thanks in advance

What I did on my 10 gallon was got two 15 watt fluorescent fixtures from wal-mart. They cost around $10 each, they are the kind that are designed to mount under a cabinet. I have them setting on the glass canopy/cover I got for the tank. Has worked well for me so far until I can get a better setup.
CF screw-ins go right into the incandescent sockets, and there you go.
A couple of 15 - 20 watters and you're in business.
