Sounds like a good buy to me. A good wooden stand for a 55gal runs about $100 in this neck of the woods.

why are you asking us if it's a good deal?

what you should do is price hunt around your are before buying and get the best deal, that's how to know a good deal.

i'm sure you KNOW it's a good deal, that's why you went ahead. we'll knock you silly if we find out that you know about a bad deal and still went ahead.

Sounds very good to me. The 55 gallon tanks in my lfs for some reason were more then my 72g tank that I got there.
