I'm thinking of getting a 35 gallon tank. I have been reading about Bala Sharks, and I've read that they're pretty hardy and not too aggressive. Anyway, I want to get 2 Bala sharks and was wondering if they would get too big for a 35 gallon tank. Would they just grow with the size of the tank or what? Also if a 35 gallon tank is big enough would I be able to put my Cory cats or something with them?

Thanks for any replies in advance!

Bala sharks grow to 10" or bigger, so they would outgrow a 35 gallon pretty quickly. Keeping a fish that grows large in a small tank won't really stop it from growing, but may stunt it's growth some and cause problems for the fish.

It's unfortunate that bala sharks grow so large, I really like them but don't have any place to keep them right now.

Thanks, I think I'm not going to get Bala sharks only because of their size. Theres no way I can fit a huge aquarium in my house. Theres just not enough room. Is there any sugestions on what kind of fish I should get to put in the 35 gallon? So far I'm going to put my Cory cats and my ghost shrimp in there ( 4 Cory cats and 2 Ghost shrimp I going to get more Ghost shrimp), I might put my White Clouds in there, I don't know, should I?(7 White clouds) So, sugestions on what I should get would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
