I Have 5 Common Goldfish In A 1 Litre Measuring Jug. I Intend To Keep Them In It For Thier Whole Lives. Is This Okay?????

No, it isn't. It would be like you or I living in a kitchen cupboard all our lives.

You need to either go get them a LARGE aquarium, like 55 gallons or larger (I'd go 75 to start with) or find someone who has the proper tank to care for them as they need to be cared for.

Are these fish in addition to the 2 you have in a five gallon tank?

GFP, I think you already know the answer to this. Keeping 1 of any fish in a 1 liter jug is inadequate.... if not because of the quarters, then for a host of other problems, ammonia and other parameters being unstable, growth, aggression, disease, you name it.

Just an FYI to anyone that reads this. I received a pm from the originator of this thread saying and I quote;
"I DON'T REALLY HAVE FIVE SMALL COMMON GOLDFISH IN A 1 LITRE MEASURING JUG. THAT'S JUST CRUEL! I WAS PLAYING A PRANK ON YOU. NO, IT WASN'T EVEN A PRANK, IT WAS MORE CURIOUSTY TO SEE WHAT YOU WOULD SAY. SORRY IF IT WAS OFFENSIVE, I DIDN'T WANT TO BE. BY THE WAY, HOW DID YOU KNOW I HAD 2 GOLDFISH IN A 5 GALLON TANK ANYWAY?"

I'm assuming the "YOU" in this person's pm is not as in personally me but an attempt to jerk anyone's chain that will answer their questions.
If a mod wants the pm just let me know.

Just a heads up to anyone thinking of going anywhere near this mess in the making.

I really hope this troll is joking otherwise poor fish who end up in his hands.
