I was listening to the radio the other day and they were talking about the perks that presidents get after they are elected.............

We pay for security on EVERY house that a president owns for the rest of his life, and any new one's that he may acquire during his lifetime (full security staff) that is alot of money if a president owns more than one house..........

The white house has a fully stocked fridge with nothing but junk food 24-7

There is a bowling alley in the white house (not that I bowl)

Private movie theater in the white house with whatever movies you want to watch (hey pass the popcorn)

Annual salary--$400,000 a year plus 50,000 a year in expense account and 19,000 a year in entertainment accounts (oh man I could live on that easy)

Camp David--125 acres of private get away (oh yeah) and anybody you want to invite

Don't forget Air Force One --better than first class

5 full time chefs, a private doctor in the white house, plus a staff of over 100 people to cater to you

There are others but these are just a few to make you want to run for office :p

That's a lot of money for anyone, but then remember that he has no real living expenses. It's all money in the pocket.

the fridge, bowling alley and movie theater detract from the list
they are all low budget items relative to the other things

By the hour that is not all that great

$469,000 for a 24hour on call, live at the office job?

24 hrs x 365 = 8760 potential working hours. Let's guarantee 6 hours sleep, but know that this is never guaranteed.... 6570 likely working hours.

About $70/hour. Before taxes. Still pretty good, but I think airline pilots make more.
