Interested in prices for either the 55 or 30 gal. aquarium and any of the (basic)set up or accessories you have that can be used to get them going. If your not able to ship the aquariums, would you ship the setup/accessories items needed for them?

Ok heres the scoop the 55 gal has - 1, H.O.T.canister by Aquaria, 1, penguin 330 w/ twin Bio Wheels, 2 , Marineland 1150 pwr heads, 1 Whisper heater (adj)
One 30 gal has - 1 H.O.T Mag by Marineland w/ pro 30 Bio Wheel. 2 pwr heads 1, 220 Aquaria & 1, Whisper pwr heads, 1, Whisper (fixed )heater.
The other 30 gal has - 1 H.O.T. Mag by Marineland also w/ pro 30 Bio Wheels 1, 330 pwr head, a Whisper dual outlet air pump, and a whisper heater (fixed).
The 20 gal is down w/ a whisper 110 (I do believe) over the edge filter, aquaria 220 pwr head and and a adj h.o.t heater.
the Pro 60 Bio Wheel is also not in use. and every thing else listed.
The BIG problem is the fish too many, too big, and some are to mean to even fit in a 55 gal together I really need to sell these fish if I'm to start sell all the componants ya know? I'll sell these fish at a fraction of what it would cost to buy them at any LFS. If not I'll donated them to the Pittsburgh Aquarium. anybody want some Fish??????
Just make an offer and we'll talk .

So what is the asking price for the 55 gallon?

Ghostman

Ok, The 55gal w/all things listed plus landscapeing(plants, driftwood, rocks, ugf, and gravel) $250.00. The tank and filters cost over that much. $100.00 for the tank.$40.00 for the canister, and $75.00 for the 330 penguin.and both power heads were $50.00 each plus tax!
The 30s both for $125.00 the one that has 1 power head get the air pump and tray, both come w/all the fixens listed plus landscapeing. Each 30 ran $50.00 each and the canisters were 100.00 each and both have Pro 30 Bio Wheels. and all wheel listed are cultured, even once they been dried out they can and have been used in other tanks and once they were rewetted, in 7 to 10 days the tank was on line & there was never an ammonia problem and the ph was never 1.5 pts off +/_ .5 of 7.0. as for shipping if its too costly depending on how far it has to go we can discuss the asking price. plus a money order w/be necessary for payment before anything is shipped. I don't want stung by anything bogus you know?
It's like I said before, I will take offers under suggestion. I'd like to sell all the fish but also I'm getting short of time because I'm moving to a smaller residence 1 mile away and the only thing I'll be able to use is a corner type tank, and I also want to go to a marine setup .
Does anybody know what it would cost to ship this stuff anyway???
Thanks for responding.

If you weigh the box plus the item and packing, you can find shipping costs online. That ought to be up to the buyer, ideally you will determine that FedEx costs this, USPS costs that, and UPS costs the other and let the buyer chose since they are paying for it as well as confirmation and possibly insurance. This means that you need to determine the box and packing and total number of things shipped per address before weighing. Packing materials alone can add to your cost and time involved too (I've shipped a few things)

Then, how to say this politely..... no one cares what you paid for these things. As buyers we want to compare it to purchasing a new item, with full warranty, from a known source, at online pricing not LFS pricing, with some chance at reimbursement if the item is not as described or fails to show up at all. Remember, the buyer is sending money to a stranger for goods that are in used condition, uninspected. A big risk.

Thanks for the advise, I sort of got cold feet doing this. I've never been down this road before and I understand, and I am not offended.I'm just a little green @ this computer selling if you know what I mean?

Yeah, it is scarey, I ship aquatic plants from time to time and only once did I get burned (for snails of all things, but he stuck me for two shipments plus postage). So, now I get money upfront by paypal or by mail. If it is by mail, specify money order or check -- people will send you cash which is not wise.

The bigger risk is actually the buyers, for at least on Ebay you have some purchase protection. Here, you just have your online reputation so a new poster like yourself is an unknown.

All of these are reasons why local may be better for you. Have you tried an ad in the classifieds (can be pricey but in my city tanks go fast), or is there a for-sale-online in your city? You also might search for the local fish clubs, Google fish club or society in your city or state. You may find killie or betta or cichlid or goldfish societies locally. The local fish stores may let you post a for sale sign.

Also, there are lots of online fish classifieds, like this one. You can post "for local pickup -- your city" and may get responses.

Get busy, and remember, I'm first for the magnums if they don't go with the tanks.

Today I stopped @ one of the biggest LFS in Pittsburgh and talked w/a sales rep, and I'm to, and just did, e-mailed him the list & he is to give me an estimate on trading this all up for a tall 65 gal w/ oak cabinet and glass hood w/ lights for 303.95 + tax, minus what they'll give me for my stuff ,but first I have to take all the fish up to be checked and hopefully purchased, then I have to take all this stuff down & get it cleaned and looking pretty and we'll see. I'd most definatly get more cash out if sold out right but time is of the essance. At least this LFS isn't far out of my way going or comming from work. wish me luck!

Well, remember what I offered on the filters, odds are he wont really be interested in the used filters, maybe. I'd expect that he'd take the tanks and that set up as one unit, move the fish out to his tanks, and ditch the filters.

Anona, being hopeful
