Ok - I think I just got ripped off (again?). I saw some Purple Waffle at a lfs, and it looked so nice I didn't ask any questions.
Now after doing some research on it, I think it is not a real aquatic plant. I put it in anyway, and it really looks nice.
Does anybody have any info on this plant? I think it can also be called Red Crinkle.

Oh, great! Ok - Thanks a lot. I guess I'll give it a couple days, and then take it out. Too bad. It's really neat looking. I guess I could pot it and keep it around the house, and see if it will grow that way.

Hey - Indigo. I just noticed your lizard picture. I just bought my granddaughter a Bearded Dragon, which is going to stay at my house. I'm just learning about how to take care of reptiles, so I hope it makes it. I bought a heat lamp, and a UV lamp, and set it up in a 20 gallon long. That will be ok for now since it's only about 5 inches long, but later I'm going to have to get a bigger tank (I'm thinking 55 Gal.) It takes crickets from my fingers. Neat!!! I put some small logs in and made him a climb-up to the lights, and also a little hidey-hole, which is where he slept last night. I have a screen over the top, so he cant burn himself on the lights. I'm using bark that you buy in bags at the pet store for substrate.
Any help you can give me on this would be appreciated.

I'm on a roll today lol, better than working I suppose. Anyway it seems your plant is coming up 50/50 for aquarium or land plant. My vote is to try it in the tank for awhile, if it starts to go, pull it out, otherwise NIIIIIICE :D

I got "took" by the same plant a few weeks ago. Several of the leaves on the original plant have died off, but all four stems are rooting in and sprouting new leaves so I'm going to leave it in there a bit longer and see what happens. I can always use another plant on my desk at work, too!
