Fishes in the living room

I have an interesting question. I have my taks in the livingroom of my appartment, the same room as my computer and stereo. So I was wondering, can fish hear music? Do you think it's bad for them to be in the same room as a high powered stereo system? I like to watch movies with the full surround sound and subwoofer, and listen to music while I'm doing my homework. Do you think that this is going to **** off my fish any? They don't seem to act any different wheather its on or off, so Im thinking no. Any thoughts on this?
