Marine Corps' General Reinwald was interviewed on the
radio the other day and you have to read his reply to the lady who
Interviewed him concerning guns and children. Regardless of how you feel
about gun laws you gotta love this!!! This is one of the
best comeback lines of all time. It is a portion of National
Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female broadcaster and US Marine
Corps General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what things
are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your
base?
GENERAL REINWALD: We're going to teach them climbing,
canoeing,archery, and shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That's a bit
irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see why, they'll be properly
supervised on the rifle range.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don't you admit that this is a
terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see how. We will be teaching
them proper rifle discipline before they even
touch a firearm.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: But you're equipping them to become violent
killers.

GENERAL REINWALD: Well, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but
you're not one, are you?

The radio went silent and the interview
ended.

I'm very big on gun safety. there is nothing wrong with teaching kids about guns and how to use them properly. It is no different than sending them to karate or simmilar "self-defense" classes. As long as you teach kids to use these things for defense and even then as a last resort.

If we can blame guns for killings, then I can blame my pencil for misspelled words.

And after you blame your pencil for misspelled words you can sue the company that made the pencil ;)

Ok, now that was funny.. A similiar one to the pencil.............

If guns kill people, then matches cause arson..

The sound of a 12ga pump chambering a round is the single most effective form of laxative available to would-be thugs on the market today. No sound on this planet loosens the bowels more quickly or completely ;)

click CLICK. ohh yea lemme hear it again!! I nearly lost my life to a gun. It goes like this. My 8 year old nephiew was being taught gun safety by my brother and I. We were out shooting a .22. After we got home, my sister (the kid's mom) nearly strangled me to death :)

The number of guns used in illegal activity accounts for less than .02% of all the guns known to be owned in the US.

Also, i think this is extremely interesting...

Kennesaw georgia has a manditory gun law. The head of every household is required to own at least one gun (minus felons and those with religious objections). since the institution of this law in '82 on the 3 murders have occured (2 with knives and one with a gun). Crime rate fell by 3/4 a year and now is less than 1/10th the national average (per 100000 people).

Now compare that with D.C. who has a no-guns law and has a crime rate of twice the national average.

double barrel 12ga
pump 20ga
scoped competition 10/22
1960's lever action .22 (my favorite gun and family treasure)
WWII Nazi Walther P38

next buy will be a colt single army...soon as i turn 21

Check the stats for class three (full auto, short barrel shotguns, supressors, etc,) owners. They are the safest group of gun owners in the US!! Their crime stats are the lowest of any group of gun owners. I think the price of the equipment and what it takes to feed them has a lot to do with who owns them but hey?? ;) An interesting stat none the less!!

"If the government doesn't trust me with my gun, why should I trust them with thiers?"
This is a bumper sticker I've seen. It rings true with me. Back in highschool, a friend and I were in front of his house just sittin' there. All of a sudden about 10 cops come arround the corner on foot. They put my friend and I on the ground with shotguns pointed at our heads. One cop said "Theres been an officer shot in the area, so we've all got itchy triggerfingers". He basically told us we'd be shot dead if we so much as snezed. I could almost justify killing them all in self defence.

The hand grip on mine is slightly different....
It's been awhile since I shot the gun.. Outdoor target practice these days is almost nonexistent.
