I got 4 clown loaches in my tank. I feed them some little red bits but they would eat then spit it out. what should i feed them? And is it normal for the fish to swim with the tip of their mouth at the surface of the water? my loaches and cichlids do this.

Too vague. are the "little red bits" fish food or plastic pieces or dried blood or....? How often are you feeding and how much? As for the topwater action, you may not have enough oxygen circulation, or they might be begging for food.

shirmp pellets
flake foods
algea wafers
tubefex worms
.....

My loaches love hikari sinking wafers, even more than the hikari algae wafers. they love shrimp pellets, mealworms, flake, cichlid pellets, bloodworms, tubifex, nightcrawlers, peas, cucumber, zuchinni....thay like alot of things! I never notice them spend time near the top of the tank unless they think its feeding time, perhaps you should lower the water level to provide moreof a splash to areate the top level of water more, (or something???)
Good luck!

I feed a cichlid flake and red crunchy ciclid food. I have a good turn over with the water. This weekend im adding some air stones just for looks maybe that will help. I feed 2-3 times a day. my cichlids are demanding of food and eat every bit of what goes in.
